TEST 1 (NORMAL COMMUNICATION): Conduct standard speed communication tests.
TEST 2 (FAST COMMUNICATION): Execute the fastest communication mode available. Note that this is only supported by certain vehicle OBD-II protocols.
¹ Only the ISO 15765-4 CAN OBD-II protocol can deliver up to 140 parameters per second when paired with an OBD-II adapter containing a higher-quality chip. Older OBD-II protocols may provide as few as 4 parameters per second in worst-case scenarios.
