"Urshifu and Gigantamax Machamp Debut at Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week"

The thrilling Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, and the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to kick off on May 21st, 2025, and run until May 27th. This week is your chance to bring your journey with Kubfu to a spectacular conclusion.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedicated effort, it's time to evolve your resilient Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms. Depending on your battle strategy, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style.

To achieve the Single Strike form, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike form during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon.

Additionally, a Special Research tied to the ongoing Seasonal storyline will be available until June 3rd, 2025. Completing it rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, featuring a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendar for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, several exciting bonuses will be available.

You'll only need to travel one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage limit for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. During this window, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain two additional Special Trades.

Don't overlook the chance to collect Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the damage boost remains constant.
