This app, "Hasami Shogi (Japanese chess scissors)," lets you play three variations of shogi: Hasami Shogi, Prisoner's Base Shogi, and Surround Shogi. Each game uses infantry and gold pieces.
Hasami Shogi: Capture opponent's pieces by sandwiching them between your own. Winning requires capturing three pieces. Note that due to the game's nature, outcomes can be influenced by chance.
Prisoner's Base Shogi: Occupy your opponent's territory by moving your infantry within a 3x3 grid. Winning involves controlling all the territory on one side of the board. Opponent's pieces can be jumped over.
Surround Shogi: Similar to Hasami Shogi, you capture by sandwiching. Additionally, you can secure territory by surrounding squares with your pieces. Winning requires either surrounding six squares or controlling three territories.
The app offers three CPU difficulty levels and a player-versus-player (PvP) mode.
