• Story
The adventure begins in a forest near a village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—discover a strange, glowing egg.
During a playful mockery of the Rite of Kinship, they are stunned when the ritual actually works.
The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern known as the "King of the Skies." The trio lovingly name him "Ratha" and bring him back to their village.
Days later, without warning, the village is attacked by a monster corrupted by the "Black Blight." Though they fend it off, the town is left in ruins, and the event scars Cheval and Lilia deeply.
One year passes...
The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia depart the village, each on their own separate path. Now parted from childhood friends, the hero teams up with the cheerful Navirou and sets out on a grand adventure into the world of hunters.
A tale of friendship and triumph awaits—ride forth into the world of Monster Hunter Stories!

Due to changes in Google Play Games, the Network Battle function was discontinued on March 31, 2020. However, after updating to Ver.1.0.2, all Titles earned from Battle Ranks will become accessible.

- This app covers the same introductory story as the handheld console version.
- Several features from the handheld version, including certain collaboration content, amiibo support, local Network Battles, and StreetPass, are NOT available in this version.

- Battle Party QR codes from the Japanese version are not compatible with this version.
