Remedy Entertainment celebrates Alan Wake 2's near-anniversary with a substantial, free Anniversary Update on October 22nd. The developer expressed gratitude to the community in their blog post, acknowledging fan support since the game's launch.
This free update, released alongside The Lake House expansion, significantly boosts accessibility. New options include infinite ammo and one-hit kills. PS5 players will also experience enhanced DualSense functionality, with haptic feedback for healing items and throwable objects. Horizontal axis inversion is also added.
The update also incorporates numerous quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback. Remedy highlights their continued post-launch development, focusing on both expansions and community suggestions. These improvements are compiled into the Anniversary Update, timed to coincide with the game's release anniversary.
