American rock band Alien Ant Farm expressed disappointment about missing the cut for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4's soundtrack, despite their track "Wish" appearing in the original fourth installment.
While classics like Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" return for the remake, numerous songs didn't make the final list, replaced instead by fresh additions.
The band confirmed their absence after BBC News inquired about their social media post reacting to the soundtrack reveal—specifically a sad face emoji acknowledging their exclusion.
"Is it a bummer that we weren't invited, or that they didn't include us? Absolutely," guitarist Terry Corso admitted. "We get that they're introducing new material, and tough decisions happen. Still, I don’t know why we were cut—our song worked really well in the original."
"Skating leans punk, and we're not a punk band," added vocalist Dryden Mitchell, "but diversity is what makes soundtracks interesting."
Fan reactions have been split—some celebrate returns like CKY and Iron Maiden, while others miss bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead.

Tony Hawk himself took responsibility for the soundtrack choices on Instagram, explaining he intentionally mixed nostalgia with new discoveries.
"I personally selected different tracks by familiar THPS3+4 artists," Hawk stated. "Discovery was part of what made these soundtracks special—so enjoy the ride."
The remake reintroduces beloved parks and skaters while adding fresh faces—including an unexpected cameo from Michelangelo of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 releases July 11 for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
