The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place across three global cities in May and June 2025:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive in-game content, including rare Pokémon encounters not typically available through standard gameplay. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. Expect similar high-rarity Pokémon appearances and increased Shiny rates in 2025.

In-person attendees can anticipate exclusive merchandise, location-specific themed items, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing with fellow trainers.

January 2025 Events: Fashion Week & Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: From January 15th at 12:00 pm to January 19th at 8:00 pm (local time), trainers can rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. New Pokémon Shroodle and Grafaiai will debut, hatching from 12km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon and a fashionably dressed Croagunk will also make appearances.

Shadow Raid Day: On January 19th, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time), participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raid Battles. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased encounter rates, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
