All Artifact Detectors In Stalker 2 (& How To Get Them)

Author : Thomas Feb 02,2025

This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, but locating them requires a detector. Detector effectiveness varies, impacting the ease of artifact discovery.

Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2

  • Echo Detector – The Standard:

The starting detector. This small, yellow device uses a strobe light and beeping sound to indicate proximity to an artifact. Intensity increases as you get closer, but pinpointing the exact location can be time-consuming.

  • Bear Detector – An Echo Upgrade:

Obtained during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from vendors. An improvement over the Echo, it features concentric rings around its display. The rings illuminate progressively as you approach the artifact, providing a clearer visual distance indicator.

  • Hilka Detector – Precision Targeting:

Acquired during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan. This advanced detector uses numerical readings to show artifact proximity. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.

  • Veles Detector – The Ultimate Artifact Finder:

The best detector, rewarded for completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory." It boasts a radar display precisely pinpointing artifact locations within anomalous zones, and also highlights dangerous anomalies in the vicinity.
