Bam Margera's inclusion in the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has been confirmed, despite his initial absence from the announced roster. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during an exclusive livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
According to Bagley, the game was already complete when Tony Hawk himself reached out to Activision to advocate for Margera's inclusion. Despite being told it was impossible, Hawk's determination ensured that Margera would indeed be part of the final game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.
Margera, known for his past as a professional skateboarder and his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. He was also removed from Jackass Forever and faced legal issues after a restraining order was granted to Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats against Tremaine and his family.
Adding to the buzz, Hawk and Margera recently shared a video of them skateboarding together, sparking initial rumors about Margera's return to the game.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game overcame significant challenges, including the risk of being canceled following the merger of its original developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
