NCSoft's multiplayer MOBA, Battle Crush, is unexpectedly shutting down. Despite an August 2023 global test and a June 2024 early access release, the game will cease operations on November 29th, 2024. This announcement comes as a surprise, especially given its relatively recent launch.
Battle Crush Shutdown Date:
The official end-of-service (EOS) date is November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been suspended. However, players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.
Refunds for Android and Steam users will be processed from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward. The official website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for support inquiries. Social media and Discord servers will close on January 31st, 2025.
An Unsurprising End?
While disappointing for invested players, Battle Crush's closure isn't entirely unexpected. Feedback consistently pointed to clunky controls and pacing issues, preventing the game from achieving its full potential. While enjoyable, it lacked the polish and refinement needed for long-term success.
You can still download and play Battle Crush on the Google Play Store before the November 29th shutdown. For more gaming news, check out our upcoming coverage of Black Desert Mobile's story-driven Autumn Season quests.
