After two failed launches and months of anticipation, Rune Slayer has finally arrived, and it's nothing short of glorious. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned player, diving into Rune Slayer can be overwhelming. But don't worry, we've put together a comprehensive guide to help you kickstart your adventure in this exciting new world.
Rune Slayer Beginner Tips
Here are some essential tips that would have made our initial journey much smoother:
Do not randomly attack other players
However, **attacking other players comes with a bounty**. The more players you kill, the higher your bounty grows, and with a higher bounty, **you'll drop more items upon death**. In essence, the only way to engage in full-loot PvP is by initiating combat and risking a bounty. Therefore, we strongly recommend **avoiding attacks on other players** unless you have a solid reason or a supportive group of friends.
Craft Bags ASAP
To craft a Cotton Bag, **collect Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**. Be cautious when heading south, as it can be dangerous due to mobs. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots, so make crafting these a priority.
Your pets don’t actually die
Bonus Tip: To **quickly heal your pet**, **store and unstore it at the stable master**. You have one free slot, so make use of it.
Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)
Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)
Join a Guild
Rune Slayer is very solo-friendly, but as you progress, you'll encounter **more challenging enemies**. Some of these, particularly those with large health bars, are designed to be tackled in groups. **Joining a guild** is the easiest way to find a group to take on these tougher foes. Use the general chat to express your interest in joining a guild, or check out the official Rune Slayer Discord server to find one that suits you.
And that's all you need to know to get started. Enjoy your journey in Rune Slayer, and if you haven't already, make sure to check out the Rune Slayer Trello and Discord for more tips and community support.
