Bird Pokémon Debuts in Pokémon GO at Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with several exciting events on the horizon. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event is set to be a highlight.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, when the Catch Mastery event kicks off from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and there's a chance you might spot their Shiny versions.

Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.

Additionally, there's Timed Research associated with the event that focuses on catching Rock-types. If you're up for the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, earning a total of 40 Archen encounters.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Don't miss the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol will gain a new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will become a permanent addition to its move set. This move delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.

From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to collect up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing for a total of six passes for the day.

If you haven't yet, be sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store.
