The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone might have a leg up. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens. Initially, these were readily usable in Black Ops 6 for boosting XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a November 15th update addressed this, disabling the direct activation of Legacy XP tokens within the Black Ops 6 interface, as noted in the Call of Duty Blog.
These Legacy XP Tokens are unused tokens carried over from previous CoD titles accessible through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These tokens were often earned through various means, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. Any tokens acquired in these games remain available for use in Warzone. Here's how to use them (indirectly) in Black Ops 6.

Using Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
At the Season 01 launch, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6. This is no longer the case due to the patch. However, a workaround existed:
Activate your Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone. The token and its timer would then appear in your Black Ops 6 UI. While this method required switching between games and tokens had a real-time countdown, it provided a means to accelerate leveling in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
