Spotify Service Disruption Confirmed

Heads up: Music streaming service Spotify appears to be experiencing issues this morning.

According to Downdetector, IGN’s sister site, reports of Spotify outages began around 6 a.m. PT today and were still coming in at the time of writing. We were unable to access the service for much of the morning, and when the app did open, it wouldn’t play music.

Spotify has acknowledged the problem and stated it is “working to resolve it as soon as possible.” The company also confirmed that reports linking the outage to a security hack were inaccurate.
