Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update

Author : Aaron May 13,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and fraudulent activities, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom made it clear: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts found to be in violation may face suspension or restrictions, including the inability to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom further warned that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for all party members. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities, encouraging reports of any fraudulent behavior encountered during quests.

These new quests will offer appealing rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's stringent stance on cheating, as it directly impacts the integrity of rewards and competition.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, available after completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head to the Grand Hub as soon as Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
