Clash of Clans is set for a massive overhaul in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests with one of the most significant updates in the game's history. Several features are being retired to streamline gameplay.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Times!
Prepare for non-stop action! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks and significantly faster-paced battles. Hero recovery time is also removed, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now.
This significant change reflects Clash of Clans' ongoing effort to remove outdated mechanics. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, the elimination of training times further removes artificial barriers, allowing for uninterrupted gameplay.
This update also brings adjustments to existing features. Training Potions and Training Treats are becoming obsolete and will be phased out. They will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
To ensure continuous battles, a new Match Anytime system is being introduced. When real bases are unavailable, this system allows attacks on snapshot bases—saved versions of real player bases currently under Shield.
These battles function identically to normal attacks, providing loot and trophy gains without impacting the defender's resources. This system, already implemented in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.
Further refinements include adjustments to Trophy Curves to reflect the increased battle frequency. The number of trophies awarded per victory will be reduced. Finally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
