Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is facing significant challenges, while its competitor, Marvel Rivals, thrives. Leading YouTubers and competitive players are expressing serious concerns about a dramatic decline in player engagement. Several content creators have ceased producing Black Ops 6 content, highlighting widespread dissatisfaction.

Call of Duty legend, OpTic Scump, asserts that the franchise is in its worst state ever. He attributes this primarily to the premature release of ranked mode, coupled with a malfunctioning anti-cheat system that has led to rampant cheating.

The issues are further amplified by streamer FaZe Swagg's on-stream rage quit due to connectivity problems, leading him to switch to Marvel Rivals. His stream even included a live counter tracking hacker encounters.

Adding to the woes is the substantial nerfing of the zombies mode, hindering the acquisition of desirable camouflage skins, and an overwhelming influx of cosmetic items. The criticism centers on the game prioritizing monetization over meaningful gameplay improvements. Considering the franchise's previously massive budgets, the current situation, while understandable, is alarming. Player patience is finite, and the game appears to be nearing a critical juncture.
