Freedom Wars Remastered offers numerous ways to customize your operational loadout. While core components like weapons and Thrones see fewer changes, Combat Items serve as versatile consumables with finite availability across most types.
Completing operations occasionally rewards you with combat items, though seldom in quantities sufficient for subsequent missions. Early gameplay also restricts you to equipping just one Combat Item simultaneously. Here’s how to overcome both limitations.
Expanding Your Combat Item Capacity in Freedom Wars Remastered
To equip additional Combat Items, you must first obtain specific Entitlements. While in your cell, interact with the Window On Liberty and select "Claim Entitlements." Navigate to the Equipment section, then tab right to locate the One-Item Permit at the top. Subsequent permits below this will progressively increase your Combat Item capacity up to four slots.
Story progression gates these permits initially, but all four become available for purchase by CODE level 3. Note that higher-tier permits only appear after acquiring preceding ones. Equipping a Combat Item deploys your entire stockpile—selecting Frag Grenades equips all currently owned ones at the operation's start.
Your Accessory can also carry one Combat Item, though they decide when to use it.
Locating Additional Combat Items in Freedom Wars Remastered
After progressing through initial story missions, you'll unlock The Warren hub area. On the upper level's right side, find the Zakka store. Beyond weapons, the "Buy Items" option reveals Munitions and Medical Supplies inventories.
- Munitions - Offensive items that directly damage enemies
- Medical Supplies - Healing items, status cures, and ammunition replenishment
Combat Items carry individual prices, and bulk purchases can rapidly deplete Entitlement Points. Needing numerous Medkits presents a rare justification for donating surplus resources. While operations sometimes reward Combat Items, this proves unreliable due to clearance times and potential net consumption during missions.
