How to Complete Canker in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the side quest "Canker" is an engaging task you can embark on early in the game, provided you've completed "The Jaunt" beforehand. This quest is a great opportunity to snag a mace or earn some extra Groschen. Here’s a detailed guide on how to successfully complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" side quest, head over to Semine and have a conversation with Gules. You can easily pick up this quest during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes by speaking to Gules while he's enjoying a drink. Alternatively, you can start it earlier by finding Gules on patrol in Semine. Ask him about his former bandit comrades and offer your assistance in dealing with them. Canker, being one of these bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, located north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared, as the path leading there is notorious for ambushes by bandits. You can choose to sneak past them, engage in combat, or simply evade them. While these random bandits are usually not formidable, they can still cause unwanted damage before your main fight.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountains, and it's easy to overlook as you need to pass through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to the Hermit's house in the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Make sure you're ready for a fight before entering, as you'll face multiple bandits alongside Canker.

The order in which you take down the bandits can affect their behavior; some might flee. However, you must defeat most of them, so don't hold back in combat. Fortunately, Canker won't escape, ensuring you can complete the quest by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his comrades, loot his body to collect the Light Mace, which is essential to prove you've completed your task. Feel free to take any other valuables from him as well. Then, make your way back to Gules in Semine to finish the quest.
