In a statement to Eurogamer, the developer confirmed their independent publishing plans, previously announced during a public earnings call. While acknowledging and valuing their business partnerships, they emphasized their ongoing independent publishing strategy and exploration of various collaborative opportunities.

A playable build of Crimson Desert will be shown to media this week in Paris, followed by a public unveiling at G-Star in November. Pearl Abyss clarified that no release date has been set, and any reports suggesting otherwise are purely speculative.

September investor meetings revealed Sony's attempt to secure PS5 exclusivity for Crimson Desert, potentially excluding Xbox for a period. However, Pearl Abyss opted for self-publishing, anticipating greater profitability.

Currently, confirmed platforms and a precise release date remain unannounced. However, a PC, PlayStation, and Xbox release is anticipated around Q2 2025.
