Halo Infinite, while perhaps not always in the spotlight, continues to receive exciting content updates. The latest addition is S&D Extraction, a new competitive game mode designed to deliver a fresh, strategically rich experience.
Inspired by Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction puts a unique spin on the classic formula. Two teams of four players face off—attackers attempting to plant a device at a designated point, and defenders striving to prevent them. Teams switch roles after each round, with the first to win six rounds claiming victory.
A robust economic system adds another layer of depth. Players earn in-game currency through objectives, using it to purchase equipment at the start of each round. Pricing dynamically adjusts based on player performance, and all gear resets after each round.
Item costs reflect their power and effectiveness. Expect cheaper options early on, escalating prices mid-match, and potentially even higher costs towards the end for those who strategically save their earnings. Respawning after elimination will also be a purchasable option.
Launching in 2025, S&D Extraction promises a dynamic and engaging competitive experience for Halo Infinite players, adding a thrilling new dimension to the game.
