Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, initiating the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a novel character type called Eidols. This month also honors the powerful women of the game, giving players a chance to impact an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest additions to The Contest, each bringing their unique abilities and a thrilling new storyline. Jean Grey joins the roster on March 13th, followed by Bastion on March 27th. Before their arrival, the Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men battling dangerous variants in a fresh quest.
The game's lore continues to grow with the introduction of more Eidols, furthering the Founders storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, debuted in December 2024, and throughout 2025, three additional Eidols will be introduced, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will make its debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, created by The Founders, is a master infiltrator designed for spying, sabotaging, and assassinating with unmatched precision. Made of ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix possesses exceptional light manipulation abilities. While it dazzles with its performance, it hides a ruthless weapon meant to eliminate enemies covertly.

March also celebrates the powerful women of The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can influence which Champion will be reworked in 2025 by completing Solo Objectives and participating in Realm Events.
