Sony Pictures has confirmed Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will slash its way into U.S. theaters on October 29, 2025.
The announcement came during Sony's CinemaCon presentation, revealing the studio secured worldwide theatrical distribution rights (excluding Japan) for Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga adaptation. While American audiences will see the film in late October, over 80 other countries will get it earlier on September 24, 2025. Japanese distributor Toho will premiere it domestically on September 19, 2025.

Originally announced in December 2023, this MAPPA-produced feature serves as a direct continuation of the 2022 anime series. The story follows Denji, a downtrodden teen granted extraordinary powers after merging with Pochita, a Chainsaw Devil. As Denji develops chainsaw protrusions from his limbs and head, he evolves beyond his initial identity as the Chainsaw Man.
The Reze Arc adaptation introduces pivotal manga character Reze to the anime continuity. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara with screenplay by Hiroshi Seko, the film reunites the entire original voice cast from the television series.
