This exciting news was first spotted by Gematsu, which shared listings for the mysterious project, including store links that allow interested players to pre-order copies for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Although the GameStop pages don't feature any images or gameplay details for the currently unannounced game, it's likely we won't have to wait long for official information.
This leak is especially timely as it arrives just hours before Sony's latest State of Play presentation, which is set to kick off. Sony has teased that the event will feature 40 minutes of content, leaving plenty of room for new game reveals. Given the timing of the Digimon Story: Time Stranger pre-order listings, it wouldn't be surprising if the digital monster series makes an appearance during the show.
The Digimon Story series has a rich history that predates this potential new entry. Fans will recall that Bandai Namco launched the franchise with the original Digimon Story for the Nintendo DS in the mid-2000s.
