Mastering Fortnite Spending: How Much Have You Really Spent?

Fortnite is free, but its tempting skins can lead to surprising V-Buck expenses. This guide shows you how to track your Fortnite spending to avoid any unwelcome bank statement shocks. It's easy to lose track of small purchases, so staying informed is key. Remember that story on NotAlwaysRight about the woman who unknowingly spent nearly $800 on Candy Crush? Don't let that happen to you!

Here's how to check your Fortnite spending:

Method 1: Check Your Epic Games Store Account

All V-Buck purchases are recorded in your Epic Games Store account, regardless of platform or payment method. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username in the top right corner, then select "Account," and finally "Transactions."
  3. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  4. Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar amounts) with their corresponding dollar values.
  5. Record the V-Bucks and dollar amounts. Use a calculator to sum them for your total V-Buck and dollar spending.

Important Notes: Free Epic Games Store games will also appear in your transactions. V-Bucks card redemptions might not show a dollar amount.

Method 2: Utilize Fortnite.gg

As highlighted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a way to manually track your purchases. While it doesn't automatically detect your purchases, you can input them yourself:

  1. Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each outfit and item from your Cosmetics section (click an item, then "+ Locker"). You can also search for outfits.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your acquired items. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter to estimate your total spending.

Neither method is perfect, but they provide reasonable estimations of your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
