Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2: Two Proven Methods
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a significant obstacle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines two reliable methods to overcome this challenge and access the island's secrets.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the destroyed bridge lie northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice. Using Spirit Vision reveals the path across the broken segments. Several options exist for traversing this perilous route:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleportations, enabling you to move each party member individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat offer another way to teleport across the broken bridge. However, this method relies on your party having access to these skills.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, placing a pyramid. The rest of the party then teleports to their location using the second pyramid.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with a translocation skill can reach Bloodmoon Island, activating the waypoint. The rest of the party can then fast travel to join them.
Method 2: The Undead Ferryman
Located on a pier northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. This method has a significant caveat:
-
Fane's Immunity: Only Fane, being undead, survives the Deathfog crossing. He can reach the island, activate the waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: If Fane isn't in your party, you'll need at least two Teleporter Pyramids. A companion takes the ferry (dying in the process), and the others teleport to them using the pyramids. Resurrection is then necessary to bring the companion back to life.
Recommendation: If Fane is absent, using the spirit bridge is generally faster and safer.
Caution: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you're prepared for his Deathfog retaliation. A quicksave is strongly recommended before engaging him. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
