Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, Sandlord, has officially launched, marking the game's most expansive season to date. This season introduces a plethora of new content that significantly alters the gameplay dynamics, inviting players to construct a floating empire in the sky.
What's in Store in Torchlight: Infinite's Eighth Season Sandlord?
The centerpiece of Sandlord is the Cloud Oasis, a city under your control. Players will collect resources from the Netherrealm and transform them into tangible benefits by assigning workers to one of five professions. This system unlocks new trade routes, bonuses, and seasonal rewards, blending the traditional ARPG combat with elements of a strategy simulation.
The character Thea, previously known as a divine channeler, has undergone a dark transformation into the Blasphemer. Instead of bestowing blessings, she now spreads desecration, inflicting escalating Erosion Damage over time.
The Deep Space region has been revamped, featuring five new stages teeming with monsters and survival challenges. Additionally, a new item called Probes has been introduced. These function similarly to Compasses but occupy their own slot, enhancing both the rewards and the difficulty of the game.

The endgame content has been enriched with new Legendary Stages, which, though rare, offer unique loot configurations that can alter your gameplay strategy. Some zones, like the Abyssal Vault, deviate from the norm by containing no enemies, only Mystery Chests waiting to be opened.
Conversely, the Sea of Rites is overrun with goblins that don't attack but can be defeated to potentially summon a secret boss. The Supreme Showdown introduces the Golden Gaze mechanic, allowing both players and bosses to transform enemies into treasure with the right hit.
