Eko Software and NACON have unveiled a demo and detailed roadmap for their action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished, currently in Steam Early Access. The early access launch includes the prologue and first chapter, playable with three distinct heroes: Knight, Oracle, and Barbarian. Players will also encounter four Vermplings – cooperative companions – and utilize the innovative Bloodline Grid skill system. Endgame hunts and initial hub city upgrades are also included. The demo is available now until March 3, 2025, as part of the Steam Next Fest.
The developers have ambitious plans for the game's early access phase. Spring updates will introduce new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and improved hub city features. Summer will bring a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. Autumn's update will be a major milestone, adding multiplayer functionality alongside continued refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players navigate a world tainted by ancient dragon blood, guiding a legendary warrior to defeat monstrous creatures and confront the powerful Dragonlords. Character progression is driven by character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution, all enhanced by the strategic customization options of the Bloodline Grid.
Dragonkin: The Banished enters Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
