Dune: Awakening is accelerating towards its launch with a thrilling large-scale beta weekend. Funcom made the announcement on their official website on April 25, revealing plans for a dedicated weekend to test Dune: Awakening globally. Alongside this, they unveiled a captivating new trailer showcasing cinematic cutscenes and intriguing story snippets.

The beta test is set to welcome a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, will not be bound by an NDA. This means participants can freely share their experiences and even stream their gameplay online. The official post states, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
