Exploring Dynasty Warriors: Origins' overworld offers valuable rewards for future battles. While Pyroxene farming yields gems, you'll also discover Old Coins, whose purpose isn't immediately apparent.
Several methods exist for acquiring Old Coins, and you'll accumulate a substantial number (hundreds are available). Here's how to utilize them and the various acquisition methods.
What To Use Old Coins For In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Old Coins are unusable in the game's first chapter; focus on the main story. After starting Chapter 2, complete these main story battles:
- Suppression of You Province
- Suppression of Jing Province
- Suppression of Liang Province
Completing these battles leads you back to Ji, where you meet Sima Hui. Following the conversation and obtaining incense for the Innkeeper, the Shui Jing Retreat unlocks in the overworld near Ji. Here, you can exchange Old Coins with Sima Hui. Besides checking bonds and rewatching interactions, you can redeem Old Coins for rewards.
Rewards are milestone-based, so redeem them whenever possible.
