EA Play Bids Farewell to Two Titles in February 2025
Get ready, EA Play subscribers! February 2025 marks the departure of two popular titles from the EA Play game library. Madden NFL 23 will be removed on February 15th, followed by F1 22 on February 28th. This removal doesn't signify an immediate shutdown of online functionality for these games; however, it's a reminder to enjoy them while they're still accessible through the service.
This isn't the only change coming to EA's offerings in February. UFC 3's online servers will be permanently shut down on February 17th. The game's continued availability on EA Play remains unconfirmed, but its core online features will undoubtedly be lost.
Games Leaving EA Play:
- Madden NFL 23: February 15th
- F1 22: February 28th
While the loss of these games is regrettable, EA Play subscribers can find solace in the continued availability of their successors. Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4 will remain accessible, and UFC 5 is even slated to join the lineup on January 14th. The addition of newer titles helps mitigate the impact of these removals, ensuring a consistently updated library of games. Therefore, while the removal of games from subscription services is always a disappointment, the availability of newer iterations of these franchises should ease the transition.
