Bandai Namco Entertainment and A24 have jointly announced development of Elden Ring's live-action adaptation today.
Visionary director Alex Garland (known for Ex Machina and Civil War) will lead the project with the mission to faithfully translate the game's expansive world and visceral combat to film. The production team includes Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA Films, alongside A Song of Ice and Fire creator George R.R. Martin and Game of Thrones veteran Vince Gerardis. While FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki's involvement remains unconfirmed at this stage.
