Marvel Contest of Champions is set to bring an array of thrilling updates throughout April, featuring the highly anticipated arrival of Spider-Woman. Joining her is another champion with a distinct personality and abilities.
Introducing Spider-Woman
Born as Jessica Drew, Spider-Woman’s origin story begins with a tragic childhood illness caused by uranium exposure near her home. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, conducted a groundbreaking experiment by injecting her with a blend of spider DNA. After years of recovery, Jessica emerged with extraordinary spider-like powers, transforming her into the iconic hero known as Spider-Woman. Fans can unlock this new champion starting April 17th.
Before Spider-Woman makes her debut, another formidable character will take center stage. Lumatrix, arriving on April 9th, is one of the Founders’ most lethal assassins. Equipped with dazzling light-based powers, he is designed to infiltrate and eliminate his targets with flair.
Storyline Updates
Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," introduces a gripping narrative where Carina suffers injuries while confronting Ouroboros forces. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom forms an unlikely alliance with the Fantastic Four. The threat of Chronoserpent corruption looms large, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges to challenge players.
A new Event Quest named "Spy Games" kicks off on April 9th and runs until May 7th. Black Widow leads the charge against mysterious Eidols, enlisting Spider-Woman’s help to uncover their secrets.
The Side Quest featuring Dark Phoenix returns with "Dark Bounties." Players must hunt down targeted champions to claim their rewards.
Additionally, the "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" offers a chance to collect valuable resources such as Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones by gathering powerful Saga champions.
