The Falcon mount, however, is particularly notable for its rarity, not merely due to the number of players who own it, but because of the unique method required to obtain it.
The Falcon mount was initially introduced during the Fly the Falcon Mount campaign, celebrating the launch of the *Stormblood* expansion in the summer of 2017. Players who subscribed for a minimum of 90 days during this campaign were rewarded with this exclusive mount.
Once the campaign concluded, the Falcon mount became unavailable, much to the disappointment of players who joined *FFXIV* later and missed out on this collectible.
How to Get the Falcon Mount in FFXIV

Fortunately, a new avenue has opened up for acquiring this coveted mount. The recurring Moogle Treasure Trove event offers players a chance to earn various rewards, including mounts, minions, furnishings, and more. During the current Moogle Treasure Trove Phantasmagoria event, the **Falcon Ignition Key** is available as a prized reward.
To participate in this event and earn the rewards, you must complete designated duties within the game. Activities at the Gold Saucer in Ul’dah, such as GATEs, also contribute to your event progress.
Additionally, the Mogpendium features special challenges, including weekly challenges and the one-time Ultimog challenge, which offer bonus rewards.
By completing these tasks, you'll accumulate Tomestones of Phantasmagoria, the event's special currency. These Tomestones can be exchanged with the Initerant Moogle NPC, located in all three major cities, for the rewards you desire. The Falcon mount requires **50 x Tomestones of Phantasmagoria**.
The Moogle Treasure Trove Phantasmagoria event will run until the release of Patch 7.2 on **March 25**. This window gives you a limited time to secure the Falcon mount before the next Moogle Treasure Trove event, so make sure to seize the opportunity.
