Sharp Fangs are vital crafting resources that you can start collecting early in the game. Head to the Windward Plains, one of the initial areas you'll explore in the story. These fangs are used to forge beginner-tier gear sets, such as Chatacabra and Talioth armor.

To embark on your Sharp Fang hunt, pick up one of the early optional quests like “Beware the Chatacabra” or “The Desert is Demanding.” These quests will lead you to the Windward Plains and offer a generous 50-minute window to explore. Don't forget to prepare a meal before setting off to boost your performance.

Gaijos

Your primary target for Sharp Fangs should be the Gaijos, small leviathan monsters that resemble crocodiles with a unique snout. You'll find them lounging near riverbeds or swimming in them, usually solitary. Use the interactive map to spot their locations marked by purple diamonds near water sources.

Approach a Gaijos location, use your equipped weapon to swiftly defeat them—they're not particularly tough. After taking down a Gaijos, carve its carcass to obtain 1 x Sharp Fang. Gaijos are a sure bet for Sharp Fangs, making them your go-to for farming. There are typically four to five Gaijos in the Windward Plains, and you can easily re-enter the area through optional quests to continue farming.

Talioth

Another source of Sharp Fangs, though less reliable, is the Talioth. These bipedal creatures wander in small packs across Area 8 and occasionally Area 13. While they're slightly tougher than Gaijos, they're manageable even with starter weapons.

When you defeat a Talioth, you might not always get Sharp Fangs; other items like Talioth Scales could drop instead. However, hunting Talioths also helps you complete the “The Desert is Demanding” quest, which requires you to kill 8 x Talioths.

With these strategies, you'll be well on your way to efficiently farming Sharp Fangs in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and tricks, don't miss our guide on mastering the Great Sword, complete with all moves and combos.
