Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a four-day free trial. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

This generous offer coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, which added new side quests to the Dawntrail expansion, including the highly anticipated return of the Hildibrand adventures and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message further fueled excitement, confirming the arrival of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller updates. He also teased future developments in the Dawntrail storyline, sparking much speculation among the player base.

The Free Login Campaign, which began January 9th, 2025, allows players who haven't logged in for at least 30 days to enjoy up to four consecutive days of free gameplay. The 96-hour timer begins upon login via the game launcher. Eligibility requires a purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account marked as inactive for the specified period, excluding accounts suspended or canceled for violating terms of service. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

While enjoying this free period, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th), earning a special minion reward. The upcoming Patch 7.16 (January 21st) will conclude the Dawntrail Role Quest side series.

This Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the release of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail remains shrouded in mystery, leaving players eagerly anticipating Square Enix's next reveal.
