However, the absence of the male version of protagonist V sparked disappointment and speculation amongst the community. Various theories emerged, comparing CD Projekt Red's marketing approaches. The actual explanation, however, is far simpler.

Patrick Mills, the Cyberpunk 2077 lore expert, revealed the decision-making process. The item bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This left no space for both male and female versions of V. Given Johnny's male character, selecting the female V was a practical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference for the female version.

Therefore, no grand conspiracy existed; it was purely a logistical decision. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the earlier inclusion of John Wick.
