Many games launch with optimization issues that are later addressed through patches, but *FragPunk* has been running smoothly since its release. However, there's always room for improvement in terms of frame rates. Below, you'll find the optimal *FragPunk* settings and crosshair codes to enhance your gaming experience.
FragPunk Settings Overview
The *FragPunk* settings are organized into five tabs. While most of these settings are related to quality of life and accessibility and don't impact performance directly, they can still enhance your gameplay. We'll focus on the settings that matter most, but feel free to adjust the others according to your preference.
General
The General tab includes a variety of quality-of-life and personal preference settings. Experiment with these to find what works best for you. Here are some settings you might want to consider:
- Automatic Climbing – On
- Automatic Sprint – On
- Camera Shake During Sprint – Off
- FOV Sprint Scaling – On
- Flash Eye Guarding – On
- Keep Player Centered – On
- Minimap Orientation Rotate – On
- Performance Metrics – On
- Ping Visibility – 1
- Hide Overly Visible Skin Components from Enemies – On
The General tab also allows you to create your crosshair, which we'll discuss later.
Keyboard/Controller
This section lets you customize your key bindings. Since we've enabled Automatic Sprint, the Shift key is available. It's recommended to bind the walk function to Shift, mirroring settings found in other tactical shooters like *VALORANT* and *CS2*.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity settings are highly personal. Feel free to experiment or use an online calculator to convert settings from games like *VALORANT* or *CS2*.
Audio
For the best audio experience, set the Sound Effects volume to a comfortable level, and reduce the Music, Announcer, and Button Volume. Enable Character Voice Simplification to cut down on unnecessary character banter. Voice Chat settings are up to personal preference.
FragPunk Best Video Settings
The Video tab is where you can maximize performance. These settings prioritize performance over visual quality, which is crucial for a competitive shooter like *FragPunk*. If you have a powerful PC, you might opt for higher quality, but for most players, these settings offer the best performance.
