"Freedom Wars Remastered: All Weapon Types Detailed"

In *Freedom Wars Remastered*, players have the freedom to select two weapons from a diverse arsenal before embarking on Operations, allowing for personalized play styles. The game features six unique weapon types, split evenly between gun and melee options, each fully customizable to enhance your strategy and effectiveness in battle.

You can acquire new weapons by successfully completing Operations or by making purchases at the Zakka store in The Warren. While you can't dictate the weapon choices of your Comrades, you have full control over your Accessory's equipment. Switching weapons, either for yourself or your Accessory, incurs no penalties or benefits, giving you the flexibility to adapt your loadout as needed.

Every Weapon Type In Freedom Wars Remastered

Weapon Type Traits
Light Melee
  • Quick attacks ideal for fast-paced playstyles, effective against single enemies.
  • Can sever Abductor limbs without the need for a Flare Knife.
Heavy Melee
  • Wide arcing attacks that deliver significant damage.
  • Capable of striking multiple Abductor limbs for compounded damage.
  • Charged attacks can propel you into the air at the end of a combo.
  • Slightly reduces movement speed when equipped.
Polearm
  • Attacks involve charging through enemies, helping you evade incoming attacks.
  • Charged attacks launch the polearm for massive damage from a safe distance.
Assault Weapons
  • High ammo capacity, perfect for gun-focused builds.
  • Can be fired while grappled with your Thorne, offering better angles and safety.
Portable Artillery
  • Delivers high single-shot damage but with limited ammo capacity.
  • Explosive AOE shots can impact multiple Abductor limbs simultaneously for increased damage.
  • Reduces movement speed when equipped.
Autocannons
  • Boasts a high rate of fire with substantial ammo capacity and magazine size.
  • Individual shots may not be powerful, but the rapid fire compensates for this.
  • Decreases movement speed when equipped.

It's worth noting that, unlike players, Accessories equipped with gun weapons do not need to worry about managing ammo, giving you an additional tactical advantage in your Operations.
