Zynga is taking fans on a nostalgic journey with Custom Street Racer 2 (CSR2) as it celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, Back to the Future, directed by Robert Zemeckis. Starting today, players can get behind the wheel of the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the first film. Although it doesn't offer any performance boosts or special abilities, the DeLorean is fully drivable, adding a thrilling element to the game.
CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future
CSR2 goes beyond just adding the iconic car; it introduces a complete Back to the Future-themed experience. The game features a custom in-game UI inspired by the film, a new narrative, and a series of events. Players can participate in three dedicated flash events centered around the Time Machine, as well as a community competition.
Zynga has promised that this collaboration will extend throughout the year with additional themed events, ensuring it's more than a fleeting update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting quizzes on their social media platforms where participants can win exciting rewards. You can join the fun right here.

Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!
While the game won't let you travel to 1955 like in the movie or even Reverse:1999, the CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The thrill of driving the legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is an exciting feature in itself.
Sam Cooper, Zynga’s Vice President of Games, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, noting that the Time Machine is one of the most recognizable and beloved picture cars in history. He expressed excitement about allowing players to virtually race the car while celebrating the movie's milestone anniversary.
Are you excited about this crossover? Will you be driving the DeLorean? You can download Custom Street Racer 2 from the Google Play Store to experience the new car for yourself.
