Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced
Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. This action-adventure game, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.
The closed beta, running from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, will offer fans early access to the game before its full release later this year. Players can register via the official website.
Kingsroad features class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, allowing players to command characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon. The game boasts an original storyline centered around a new character, the heir to House Tyrell, residing in the North. The game's visuals and combat are highlighted as key features.
Initially announced in November 2024 and further showcased at The Game Awards, Kingsroad leverages the rich lore and characters from George R.R. Martin's creation and the HBO series. Netmarble, known for titles like Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, aims to deliver "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat.
