Excitement is building for the upcoming beta weekend of *Gears of War: Reloaded*, as developer The Coalition extends the event and adds more content in response to valuable player feedback. "We heard you," the team announced on social media. "More maps. More modes. More time."
Thanks to this update, the multiplayer beta will now run from Friday, June 20 at 12pm PDT to Sunday, June 22 at 9pm PDT. Players can look forward to a richer experience with the addition of the Execution mode, now joining the lineup alongside King of the Hill on Gridlock, Raven Down (available in both Courtyard and War Machine variants), and Canals. Team Deathmatch will also be playable on those same maps via social matchmaking, with Gold Rush included in the rotation.
While server stability concerns remain a topic of discussion among some players, it's important to remember that beta testing is designed to uncover such issues before launch. It’s far better to encounter them now than after the game officially releases in just a few weeks.
Last month, Microsoft confirmed that *Gears of War: Reloaded*—a high-definition remaster of the original 2006 title—will launch on August 26 for PC, Xbox, and even PlayStation. This enhanced version promises improved visuals and audio, full crossplay and cross-progression support, and includes all DLC previously released as part of *Gears of War: Ultimate Edition*.
As a special thank-you to loyal fans, owners of the digital version of *Gears of War: Ultimate Edition* purchased before the announcement will receive a free upgrade to *Reloaded*. If that’s you, keep an eye out for a direct message from Xbox containing your redemption code ahead of the release.

“As we approach the 20th anniversary of *Gears of War* in 2026, we’re reflecting on what this franchise means. It’s about the stories we’ve told, the friendships we’ve built, and the unforgettable moments we’ve shared together. With *Gears of War: Reloaded*, we’re opening that door to more players than ever,” said Mike Crump, studio head at The Coalition.
