Genshin Devs Reveal Patch Cycle Duration in Leaked Doc

Zenless Zone Zero Update Roadmap Leaked: Extended Patch Cycles Ahead

Recent leaks suggest a significant expansion to Zenless Zone Zero's update schedule. The current patch cycle, it's claimed, will conclude with Version 1.7, exceeding the 1.6 cycle seen in other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. This will be followed by Version 2.0, culminating in Version 2.8 before transitioning to Version 3.0.

This extended cycle, if accurate, promises a substantial increase in content for players. The game, launched less than a year ago, has already enjoyed a successful run, including a nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards and a collaboration with McDonald's. This continued momentum is further fueled by the leak revealing a planned roster expansion of 31 new characters, significantly adding to the current 26 playable units.

The anticipation for the upcoming Version 1.5 update is palpable. This patch introduces two highly anticipated S-Rank units, Astra Yao and Evelyn, along with a new story chapter, area, and events. Leaks suggest Astra Yao will be a valuable support character, prompting players to begin farming necessary materials in advance.

Version 1.4, featuring the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, concluded in late January. While initially met with some fan complaints regarding alleged censorship, HoYoverse swiftly addressed these concerns with a rapid fix and player compensation.

The leaked roadmap:

  • Version 1.7: End of the current patch cycle.
  • Version 2.0: Commencement of the next cycle.
  • Version 2.8: Conclusion of the second cycle.
  • Version 3.0: Beginning of the third cycle.

While Version 1.7 remains months away, the imminent arrival of Version 1.5 offers immediate excitement for Zenless Zone Zero players. The leaked information paints a picture of a game committed to long-term content delivery, setting it apart from its contemporaries.
