Get ready for Pokémon GO's spooky Halloween event! Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising exciting features and chilling encounters.
The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What's in Store?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle, depending on its charged attack.
During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and afterwards will be available from Rank 16, though remaining more common in premium battles.
A Spooktacular Halloween Celebration!
Expect special Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly throughout the event. Enjoy this eerie remix:
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event (October 22nd to November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
