Star Wars Celebration just announced Hayden Christensen's official return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka Season 2.
While details about Anakin's role in Season 2 remain scarce, the confirmation that Ahsoka's journey with her former master continues has thrilled fans worldwide.
Christensen made a surprise appearance at the Ahsoka panel during Star Wars Celebration, sharing his experience returning to the iconic role.
"Returning to this character was a dream come true," Christensen revealed. "The creative approach through the World Between Worlds concept was brilliant. The whole experience felt incredibly exciting."
Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni humorously admitted, "I basically had to invent new dimensions just to find a way to work with Hayden as Anakin again."
Christensen also discussed how he and the creative team explored Anakin's untold Clone Wars stories. "While these stories existed in animation, bringing them to live-action was exhilarating. Though I'll always love the classic Jedi robes, giving Anakin a fresh look added exciting new dimensions to the character."
During the panel, Filoni explained how their shared experience working with George Lucas helped shape Anakin's return. "Our combined understanding allowed us to create the most complete version of this character," Filoni noted.
Christensen quipped, "George's voice is always in my head saying 'Faster! More intense!' during these moments."
