Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action brawler, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new name and release date! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this game, based on the popular webcomic, is slated for a 2025 release, with a pre-alpha test kicking off in January.
Set in contemporary China, the game follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's teachings are highly sought after in the martial arts community. This discovery thrusts him into a world of intense action and intrigue.
The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive visuals and features secondary protagonist Wang Ye. Expect thrilling parkour sequences, dynamic 3D martial arts combat, energy projectile exchanges, and intense brawling.
A New Identity
Tracking down information on The Hidden Ones has been challenging, given the series' multiple names. However, initial impressions suggest a truly impressive game from Morefun Studios. The game's darker, grittier aesthetic stands out, offering a more grounded feel compared to other 3D ARPGs.
