Despite the upcoming opening of their Berlin cafe (yes, it's real), MiHoYo continues to deliver incredible updates for their popular game lineup. A prime example is Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail, scheduled for release on July 2nd. What's in store? Just a small crossover with one of the most iconic anime series of all time.
Launching with Version 3.4, titled 'For the Sun is Set to Die,' players can recruit the new character Phainon. Fans following the recent storyline will be excited to see him join the playable roster, as he has played a vital role in the Trailblazer's journey.
Phainon is equally impactful in combat, with a fighting style centered around building a consumable resource called Coreflames. Once he accumulates enough, he unleashes his Ultimate ability and transforms, creating a Territory that removes other allies from the battlefield while retaining their buffs. He then confronts the enemy in a formidable new form.
Draw and ReleaseLongtime Honkai: Star Rail fans will find plenty to enjoy here, but there's more excitement ahead. Phainon will be accompanied by two even more notable characters: the iconic Saber and Archer from Fate/Stay Night are joining the game.
Hailing from the acclaimed multimedia franchise, once the collaboration event begins on July 11th, players can log in to receive the five-star Archer for free. This offer is valuable even for those who haven't yet experienced Fate/Stay Night.
