HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its July 2024 launch figures.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced game mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all driving increased player spending.
While Harumasa was offered as a free promotional character, the Hoshimi Miyabi banner significantly contributed to the record revenue. The 1.4 update's impact on player engagement also proved exceptional. Unlike typical post-update spending drops, daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days and stayed above $500,000 even after two weeks.
Despite this remarkable achievement, Zenless Zone Zero still trails HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in overall revenue.
