The Eldgear Story:
Argenia transitions from a medieval past into a magically-infused future, sparking conflict among its numerous nations. The discovery of potent ancient ruins and their magical technology fuels this conflict. While a recent war has ended, the threat of renewed fighting remains.
Eldia, a global task force, plays a central role, tasked with preventing these powerful artifacts from reigniting war. They research, monitor, and control access to the ancient ruins.
Gameplay:
Eldgear features a strategic turn-based combat system. While the core combat is straightforward, the mechanics add depth.
- EMA (Embedding Abilities): Equip three abilities per unit, usable at any time. Combine stat boosts with abilities like Stealth or bodyguard functions.
- EXA (Expanding Abilities): Unleash powerful moves by maximizing Tension during battles.
- GEAR Machines: Mysterious and powerful machines, some acting as guardians, others as hostile threats.
