inZOI Lets You 'WooHoo' Sims-Style To Make Children But Obviously Won't Show It inZOI is set to introduce a "sort of" sex feature, as confirmed by the game's developers. This article delves into how the developers are managing the game's explicit content and the level of realism these features will exhibit.

inZOI Developers Responded to Questions About Explicit Content

There Will Be "Sort Of" A Sex Feature

inZOI Lets You 'WooHoo' Sims-Style To Make Children But Obviously Won't Show It As inZOI gears up for its early access release, fans are eager to understand the inclusion of features related to sex and nudity. During a live segment titled "Ask Me (almost) Anything" on inZOI's official Discord channel, three team leads, with translations provided by Assistant Director Joel Lee, addressed these queries.

The discussion covered various aspects of the game's realism, including baby care, body size, and driving mechanics. However, the topic of explicit content, specifically sex and nudity, was a recurring theme. Lee provided a safe-for-work response, stating, "Our answer is: sort of. There is a feature in the game that you obviously know what's happening, the male Zoi and the female Zoi are together, likely in bed, with the intention of creating babies. How visually apparent is that? That's where you have to go to your imagination. What you're seeing is not what you're seeing; you have to assume that's what's happening. Is that clear enough for everyone? It's there. Sort of. Maybe not to the level that everyone would have been expecting."

While the statement remains somewhat ambiguous, it confirms the presence of a sex feature in the game, albeit with adjusted animations to suit a broader audience. Given inZOI's focus on realism, fans might anticipate a more nuanced approach compared to the more whimsical style seen in games like The Sims.

Blurring Effects Don’t Work Well With inZOI

inZOI Lets You 'WooHoo' Sims-Style To Make Children But Obviously Won't Show It Players also inquired about why Zois shower with their towels on, which relates to the game's art style and the ineffectiveness of blurring effects. The developers explained that pixelated blurring works well in cartoony games like The Sims, but inZOI's more realistic art style made these effects appear more suggestive than intended.

During testing, a bug was discovered where Zois appeared fully naked in mirrors without the visual effects, which the developers promptly addressed to maintain the game's intended visual integrity.

Making inZOI Available to All

inZOI Lets You 'WooHoo' Sims-Style To Make Children But Obviously Won't Show It Despite the discussions around sex and nudity, inZOI has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB, akin to The Sims 4. This rating ensures the game remains accessible to a wide audience while maintaining a safe-for-work environment. Lee emphasized the team's goal to create a game that appeals to various age groups, stating, "We wanted to provide a game that was widely available to as many age groups as possible."

The developers have scheduled a live stream showcase on March 19, 2025, at 01:00 UTC on inZOI's official YouTube and Twitch channels. This event will cover early access pricing, DLC, the game's developmental roadmap, and further address fan questions.

inZOI will launch its early access on Steam on March 28, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As of now, no specific release date for the full game has been announced. Stay updated with the latest information on inZOI by visiting our dedicated page.
